Allen School was built in 1887, and remains one of the oldest schools in Illinois. It's presently used as a junior high school. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. The First Congregational Church of LaMoille and the Wood-Tellkamp House are also on the Register.The Dr. John Kendall Home served as an inn for Abraham Lincoln during the Lincoln-Douglas Debates and was also a station on the underground railroad. It was built in 1839 by Dr. Kendall, one of the founders of the town. The home is privately owned and not open to the public.
